The Waterloo Region Crime Prevention Council brings together a broad range of services and citizens to build a healthier, safer community.

The Crime Prevention Council acts is an advisory committee to Regional Council and works with community partners to reduce and prevent crime, victimization and fear of crime.

The Crime Prevention Council addresses known risk factors for crime through:

• research
• local action
• policy development
• advocacy
• public education
