The Region of Waterloo is replacing the Scheifele Bridge on Northfield Drive at Conestogo River in Woolwich Township. Work will feature the full replacement of the bridge deck, piers, abutments and wingwalls.

Two surveys are underway to hear directly from young people and immigrants about their experiences in Waterloo Region. The Youth Impact Survey, run by the Children and Youth Planning Table (CYPT), and the Immigrant Survey, led by the Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership (IP), are both open until May 31.

The Region of Waterloo Water Supply Capacity Allocation Policy has been developed to ensure a fair, simple and fully transparent way to transfer water supply capacity to area municipalities in the Mannheim Service Area to support future growth, as water becomes available. 

This morning, 1,351 elementary students with out-of-date vaccination records were suspended under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA). Students who have been suspended can return to school once their vaccination records are up to date, or a valid exemption is on file.
